5 Ingredient Double Chocolate Protein Balls

Hello beauties!

I don't know if any of you can relate to this or not but I hit 38 weeks and the chocolate cravings became NEXT LEVEL! Like I would be the happiest little thang if I ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner lol. In fact, I've been poppin' 1-2 dark chocolate covered almonds into my mouth while I heat up my morning oatmeal.

We are in crunch time now and while I hear of a lot of mamas say that near the end they just went into "f*ck it" mode, which is completely understandable at this point, but I also feel like I've come so far and put my health first that there's no other option than to finish strong!

I mean, willpower is everything, and if I can make it through this then I can make it through anything, right? Lol... at least that's what I'm tellin' myself.

So here we go, some double chocolate protein balls that will taste like you are doing something naughty but in reality your just stuffing your mouth with some good ol' protein and healthy carbs & fats! I got you!

Ingredients:

4 scoops Arbonne chocolate protein powder

1 cup quick oats

1/2 cup natural peanut butter

1 cup unsweetened apple sauce

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Directions:

Place all ingredients into a bowl, minus the chocolate chips. I divided the chips in half and placed half inside the bowl and used the other half to roll the balls into to form a chocolate like shell around them (hello heaven).

Once the balls are mixed well, and if you didn't get in there with your hands you didn't mix them well enough, form them into small balls using approximately 2 tbsp per ball. I use a pre-scoop utensil for balls (which I believe was designed for meatballs, but it works for all the balls).

With the rest of the chips place on cutting board and finely chop them. The chips I used were already micro sized so even when I felt like I was chopping forever they really didn't break up too much.

Take each ball and gently press into the chocolate chip crumbs. You may want to take your hands and press them into the ball and bit to compact them before putting them on a lined dish.

Once finished place in the fridge for at least 20 minutes to set before consuming.

They will last up to a week in the fridge, but up to a few months in the freezer if you are like me and have trouble resisting the temptation of having them in eye sight every time you open the fridge.

And there ya have it, the easiest to make and consume double chocolate protein balls!

ps.... if you missed my crazy ass workout from Saturday I'll drop a picture of it below! I was having one of those days where I didn't want to go. And we almost didn't, we were trying to convince ourselves that a dog walk would be suffice. But then I thought, nah, I got this! I fizzed up, and just wung it. I have this new goal to climb 25,000 stairs by the end of the year so I started there and just created random combos afterwards. Give it a shot, make yourself a shake afterwards and know that I'm proud of ya!

Have a great day ya hot tamale!
